The CCS medical
informatics division is a leader in the Greek market since 1983 and possesses the most powerfull expertise and the largest installed base of medical applications. The products of CCS in this field are recognised and well established in the medical world since they are used by hundreds of diagnostic centres, and private biopathology labs, as well as by more than 80 hospitals in Greece (private, military, public).
The existing
applications cover a large spectrum of the various medical specialties. An important work has been done in the field of laboratory information systems (L.I.S.), where CCS can deliver simple or complex solutions to fulfil the needs of the medical laboratories of any size and specialisation, from small private biopathology laboratory upto complete automation of entire laboratory section of a hospital. A basic element of all these applications is the coverage of all stages of the laboratory procedure, from the specimen receipt up to the final result delivery.

MediLab L.I.M.S. also incorporates specialised and technologically advanced capabilities such as:
a. Use of multiple bar code systems for the
automation of the procedures and the automated specimen identification, in all
stages of the procedure.
b. Incorporated expert system, which allows the automated
result reports production, based on test results, as well as the automated
activation of the appropriate procedures.
c. Voice recognition, allowing computer usage with oral
commands.
CCS is the main
supplier of laboratory software in both private and public domain in Greece in the field
of medical informatics, during the last 20 years, because of its quality
software production concurrently with its continuous R & D
investment.
